Drinker Biddle Invites Joyce Ferris to Participate at the Grass Roots Energy Finance conference

Drinker_biddle_&_reath_blue_logoJoyce Ferris participated in a roundtable discussion at “Grass Roots Energy Finance: Scaling Public and Private Investments in Demand Side Energy Assets” hosted by the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP on May 31, 2012 in New York City.

Joyce joined the Deputy State Treasurer of Pennsylvania and other finance and sustainability professionals for the discussion “Financing Strategies: Pooling Financing for Clean Energy Projects.” The panel focused on financing opportunities at the municipal, county, and state levels for investments in clean energy projects. Highlights of the panel included the core conditions for effective pooled procurement, standardized contracts, credit enhancement, and pooled financing for demand side energy projects. The discussion addressed frameworks and authorities relative to procurement, bill payment, energy performance contracting, bonding, and others. The panel also discussed the role and structure of clean energy financing organizations.

GPIC Includes Joyce Ferris in Discussions About Integrated Processes for Energy Efficient Renovations

GreaterPhilaInnovationCluster-HUB-Logo-300dpi1Joyce joined industry colleagues and members of the Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster (GPIC) to share findings and best practices, as well as brainstorm ways to adapt integrated delivery practices to the energy retrofit market.

The symposium on Integrated Delivery for Energy Retrofits was part of the DOE-funded Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster (GPIC), focused on energy efficient retrofits of commercial buildings. GPIC researchers are working to demonstrate strategies to move industry practices towards a more integrated, “systems delivery” process, that can deliver significant energy efficiency improvements in commercial buildings in the near term.
