Blue Hill Partners is an investment firm focused exclusively in the Green Technology sector. Our goal is to build promising Green Technology businesses by providing investment capital, management support and strategic resources. Our approach is a return to the traditional form of venture capital, when funds were small and the fund managers were experienced company builders, well versed in their industries, intimately involved with their portfolio companies and personally invested in their funds.

Blue Hill manages the Pennsylvania Advanced Industrial Technology Fund, and Blue Hill Investment Partners, LP. Both funds invest in Green Technology companies and projects.
Blue Hill is currently making investments through Blue Hill Investment Partners LP. This fund invests $500,000 - $2,000,000 per company in commercial stage Green Technology companies and projects.
Blue Hill has a co-investment relationship with a Boston based investment firm, Source Squared, who is also a co-investor in Aircuity Inc. Source Squared has the ability to invest larger amounts of capital than Blue Hill’s current funds.

We have a management team with extensive experience as senior executives building companies and provide management support to companies needing supplemental or interim resources to efficiently build their companies.
We invest directly in founding new companies and building the management teams required to grow them.
We manage a relatively small amount of capital and keep the ratio of investment professionals to portfolio companies low so we can dedicate the time and resources necessary to stay actively involved with each company.

We concentrate in areas within the Green Technology sector and build strategic investment “clusters”. We have built an Energy Efficiency/Green Building cluster of technologies and services for application in commercial and industrial buildings and facilities. We are also active in the agriculture and industrial sectors and expect to build investment clusters around applying green technologies and services to those industries.

We are investment program managers who create custom investment programs to meet green goals and economic development objectives.

We take a financial approach to driving sustainability by using energy efficiency savings to fund broader objectives.

Blue Hill has a management team of experienced professionals with extensive backgrounds in development, management and investment in green technology companies and projects. The team has a balanced set of investment skills including: mezzanine debt, project finance, venture capital and private equity structures. The total transaction experience of the team totals over $500 million. The Blue Hill team has direct commercial relationships and experience with large property owners, industrial companies and agricultural businesses. Blue Hill also has extensive experience and knowledge of a wide range of green technologies and services with a special emphasis on commercially proven emerging technologies.
